The course consisted of presentations beginning with an "Introduction to Failure Analysis", a discussion on the "Types of Failures", methods and instruments used to "Conduct a Failure Analysis", case histories on "Actual Failures" covering primarily metals, along with a session on corrosion induced failures and how to deal with various aspects of corrosion.
The students represented a broad mix of student doctoral candidates, practicing engineers and scientists that came Canada, the Netherlands, Iran and the USA. The course, which was held on October 9th and 10th, was very well received and appreciated by all.
